You and Your General Practice

You and your general practice (YYGP) has been developed to help patients understand what to expect from their general practice and how they can get the best from their GP team. YYGP also enables patient to provide feedback or raise concerns with their GP Practice, Healthwatch or the integrated care board (ICB).

Giving Feedback or Raising a Concern

We welcome all feedback — whether it's a compliment, comment, or concern — as it helps us improve the care and service we provide.

How to Give Feedback

You can share your feedback in several ways:
  • Speak to a member of our team
  • Fill out a feedback form at reception
  • Email or call the practice

Who to Speak To

Our Practice Manager is the main point of contact for handling feedback and concerns. They will ensure your comments are followed up and addressed appropriately.

Other Ways to Give Feedback

You can also contact:
  • Healthwatch – an independent organisation that gathers patient feedback
  • Your local ICB (Integrated Care Board) – they oversee NHS services in the area

What We Do with Your Feedback

We:
  • Listen and respond as quickly as possible
  • Take concerns seriously and investigate where needed
  • Use your feedback to improve our services
  • Share themes (anonymously) with our patient group and local NHS partners

If you wish to provide feedback or express a concern, your GP practice is the first point of contact. However, if you are not comfortable sharing your feedback directly with your practice, you can get in touch with NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). The ICB is responsible for overseeing GP services in West Yorkshire, and you can find a feedback form by clicking this link:
